    Curved piecing can be a bit tricky, but not enough so that you should be intimidated by it. For beginners I have to really stress that your seams must be consistently the same width. If they are slightly off you could get to that "curve" and find that you may have to cut it a little bigger or smaller than the pattern. That is why I do not precut some of the pieces. I lay them out and mark that fabric as "used for" whatever piece. I would hate to get to the point of putting curves together and find I need to make adjustments in size, and not have enough fabric left to recut anything.
