Ooops, I just saw there is a chit chat section where other pics should be posted if it is not a quilt. I didn't realize that and posted the Bow Tucks bags in this section. I will try to remember to post items such as bags, etc there next time.....sorry.

You are fine. Bow tuck totes are considered quilting related, because you have to quilt them! Folks post them all the time under pictures.

Yes I was confused by this.... you have to quilt the bag... I would want it under pictures? If it is a picture shouldn't it be under pictures?
Did someone tell you you put it in the wrong place?

not all photographs belong in the pictures section.

purses, tote bags, etc are popular projects for quilters, so we do consider them related to quilting. therefore, it's usually ok to put them in the Pictures section.

they should go over in General ChitChat if they are not made using some technique related to quilting.

It's my understanding that officially, the posts under "Main" and "Pictures" are supposed to be quilting related. The moderator will move your post if it's in the wrong spot. Seems that the only pics that get moved are the ones totally non-sewing, like "New Puppies" unless they are sitting on a quilt!

we will move those, too, unless the quilt is the star of the photo and the puppy is just a camera hog. :lol:

just remember that moves are not a judgement or punishment. they are a service we perform when something is in the wrong place. it's better than deleting the post and the member gets a gentle reminder for the future. :-)
