I'm finely posting pictures in the right spot. HAHA....

I started step 2 last night. I way to many 1-1/2" strips in Step 1 that this time I got my meager collection of Teal and cut a 3/4", 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" strips of each fabric I have. Then I put them each in a bowl by my machine so I can grab them easily. I decided to do one dark Teal strip if Taffeta down the center of each. I have to say, I really like it. The small pop of Taffeta will be cute, I hope.... haha

Thanks, I think it took longer to press than to sew.

Love the Teal Taffeta down the center.

I love your colors! They look great and I like the idea of the same color down the center... I may have to do that when I get to start that step. Thanks for the idea!

Well, I have gotten 21 of my string blocks done for part 2. I have a bag of strips and it is going mush faster (and less stressful) as I am just using the strip that comes out on as many blocks as I can and then grab the next. I am not good with making things look scrappy and this tip I got on here has helped, lol.

Good for you. I finished part 1 QSTs this morning and now I am working on cutting my part 2 blue fabrics/stash for the strips. It is so interesting to have a look at other people's collection of fabrics.

Default My Pile of Blue Strips for #2

Still cutting. Hope to have a few blocks done today. All of the fabrics are from stash and thrift store purchases. The plan is to NOT buy anything new for this project.
