Default Santa Fe Star Bonnie Hunter pattern

My newest quilt. King size Santa Fe Star from a Bonnie Hunter book but I changed it up a little bit to make it the size it is. Hers was quite a bit smaller. The star is string pieced, small diamonds cut, the small diamonds sewn into large diamonds and then the large diamonds are set together to make the star. Yes, that is a lot of pieces, no, I do not know how many strings it took to make the star. The central star is circled by a double row of flying geese. This is the first time I've ever made a border like this. The quilting is a meandering pattern all over. I found sewing the strings together to be almost addicting and can see more string quilts in my future.
I wish my picture taking skills were better because this quilt is absolutely stunning in person.
