Only someone in their right mind wouldn't want such a beautiful quilt. You do beautiful work and I'm sorry she couldn't see the love, time and effort you put into it. I'm glad it made it to a good home.

My comment is a little away from the quilt. However, when my daughter-in-law was expecting my first little grandson for the shower I knitted a whinny the pooh sweater and a couple of other sweaters for the baby. Never, never, never did she ever use them or talk about them or anything. I was so hurt and disappointed. Today she and my son have divorced but I still feel the hurt from her. But I love my two little grandsons so much. She was very ungrateful for anything I ever brought into their house. I tried with all my heart to please her but I never did succeed. Sometimes, we just can't win............her loss!!!!!!

I am so glad that you took that quilt back. It makes me wonder if I did the right thing with a quilt that my great aunt made for my oldest. It was so beautiful, amd she put so much work into it, that I kept it aside. I wish I hadn't now.

    WHAT A SNOT!~~
I'd have told her exactly how much love and work had gone into it, taken it back without even telling her...and walked out. Then forgive and forget her!

I certainly wouldn't give a second thought to the gal who had the audacity to be rude and selfish. Hope she had a long, hard labor (yes, I can be bitchy). The baby who sleeps beneath your quilt will be blessed and it's mom is a jewel.

So glad your story had a happy ending. So many times when I saw a special event coming up I thought of making a quilt, but over years and similar responses to quilts given, I've learned to pinch myself first :)

Thank you for sharing this sweet story. It is nice when we sometimes find out what the master plan is. As for the person who rejected your beautiful, handmade gift, reject any future "gifting opportunities." She has made it perfectly clear that she is NOT your friend.

How could anyone not like this quilt - it is beautiful but the 2nd recipient was grateful to get it and makes up for the first ungrateful brat - how wonderful- you did such a nice job on it- love it!
