plug ins are tools for the forum designers/owners, not something we pay for.
giving us the ability to change the appearance of the forum would be a plug in. My guess is they aren't willing to pay for extra stuff.

One thing I do love about this particular board is the link on the top right of a thread to "go to first unread post"
Magic! click it and you are there.

Smile Thanks Patrice and other admins!

Thanks for all you do. I can imagine things have been difficult. Is there some way to post a banner that says something like "site is being worked on, changes will be made" so that people understand from the beginning? I am just thinking something up front may help reduce that initial "oh no!" when folks see things are different.

One thing I noticed yesterday was that the site showed I had 0 unread messages but I actually had 3 unread private messages. Hope I'm not to late to have this checked out.

I didn't answer themachinelady at first because I wasn't clear on what she was talking about. I just wanted to add that there are also plugins for your browser that can be helpful, such as ad blockers. Those are not provided by the forum; if you want them you need to search for and install them yourself.

I am not trying to reply to anyone, but I don't see where to start a new question. I'm with those who are not wild about the new format. My question is: How do I find all of the pictures I saved in "tools?"

i don't know what you mean by that.

please refer to the FAQ for a refresher on starting new threads.
it's essentially the same as it always was.

so ... I'll bet you've noticed that nothing changed during the outage.

I finally got clarification of the reason for the down-time.
it had nothing to do with implementing the fixes I asked for.

they are working across the network and all sites owned by our parent company to ensure compliance with The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) is a state statute intended to enhance privacy rights and consumer protection for residents of California, United States. ... The CCPA became effective on January 1, 2020

Please do not flood the QB Help Center with new threads, or comments within existing threads, to repeat complaints or ask questions already asked and answered.

It won't help; it won't make the changes come any faster; and they might crowd out new information, newly identified and reported glitches, etc.

I have been assured that fixes are coming.
    No definite word about when.

The link you regularly email to see...
“the newest quilting articles and how-to guides from the Quilting Board:

Click to see current Quilting Board articles”

    .... goes nowhere
