I have finished the top of my jewel tree quilt just thought I would share with you all, any advice I could get on a neat way to quilt it without taking away from it would be appreciated.

I think it was in the cutting, I think my blade on my rotary cutter got dull or something and some of my pieces are not the same size or something. Oh well. I guess every quilt will not be a masterpiece but each will be a learning experience.

I now have three daughters, but open for more. I can do needle turn or machine applique, have tackled stained glass, paper piecing. Y-seams in tumbling blocks still alude me, as does the New York Beauty curves. I have done alot of landscaping wall hangings, but most of all, I love to encourage others.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I have found that quilting is teaching me many things, most of all it is teaching me patience. I really do enjoy it. Each one is like a child and new and different in its own way. It is so fun to experiment with the colors and the material. I just wish that I knew more and was more accomplished so I could really make things come to life, so to say. right now my quilts are really simple, and I realize that sometimes simple is a good thing and right now that is what I need...really, really simple. I look at some of the other quilts that some of the more experienced quilters have made and they are so BEAUTIFUL. And my mom in law makes just gorgeous quilts. She just amazes me with her talent.
