    Default BLOT sandwiches

To a usual BLT - Bacon, lettuce, tomato (bread and mayo/miracle whip) sandwich - we have been adding some thin slices of mild onions.

    Yum!

Interesting but I prefer not to have the onions.

BLTC: bacon, lettuce, tomato, top with cheese and melt the cheese under the broiler. Yum!

We like onion on ours, too. I really like tomato and onion together. Sometimes for a side I slice a fresh tomato and onion and drizzle with a little olive oil and a mild vinegar. Red wine or white wine, whatever we have. If we have a fresh cucumber, I add that also. A little fresh basil or dill-tastes like summer to me.

Thats an italian salad....or green beans and beets w/evoo & rev, or cooked, chopped potatoes, chopped tomatoes, onion, and evoo/ etc.....and if you add feta cheese and kalamata olives, you go Greek salad....on and on...making me hungry.....

I love onions, but not on a BLT. I do love the addition of avocado.

We've also been known to add a fried egg to our sandwiches. Bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion and egg.. it gives a protein boost to the meal.
