Popcorn Balls!
#34
I don't remember the recipe that my grandmother made but I do know that it had corn syrup. I think I'll take this recipe and make it with my grandson this week when we have our sleep over. thanks.[/quote]
My family recipe:
2 C sugar
1 C corn syrup
1/2 C water
1 t vanilla
Boil the sugar, corn syrup and water in pot to the soft ball stage on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour over popped corn and stir in quickly. Butter your hands and form balls. Pack enough to hold their shape but not too firm to make them hard. Let set out awhile before packaging. These are goey and wonderful!
