    Default What's for supper tonight?

I usually cook supper (dinner to some) for my kids and grands on Fridays. Tonight it's hamburger steaks in brown gravy, butter beans, stewed potatoes, and cornbread.

I'm thinking baked chicken parmesan. Or possibly boneless chops.

Not sure about tonight but Wednesday I made a pork schnitzel with pickle gravy. I didn't know how it would turn out but it was really good with mashed potatoes and broccoli. You make a white gravy with minced dill pickles, a jalapeno pepper and minced green onions. It was delish.

We are having a pork shoulder roast, that I will cook in the rotisserie. The sides will be mashed potatoes with dried parsley and cracked black pepper and honey glazed carrots.

Here is the recipe for the carrots I plan on using:

We're having some chicken and sausage gumbo that I had cooked a while back, and froze the leftover, easy peezy! Then, on another thread, someone asked about potato soup, and Tartan mentioned boiled eggs, bout to go boil a few to toss into the gumbo! YUM!

I am single so I keep things simple with Lean Cuisine. I have a craving for Spaghetti with Meatballs.

Tonight it's hodgepodge lodge. Leftover chicken 'n dumplings for hubby, spaghetti for my son and me..or grilled cheese sandwiches if the mood changes.

It's Friday, so it's pizza. Made from scratch.
