I've paid more than $350 plus shipping, on ebay -- several times-- and they had parts broken during shipping!!

Then one day I was browsing vintage sewing machines on CL and saw a FW for $75. I called right away and drove to get it as soon as the bank opened the next morning ... Lol. The person had only advertised it as an antique Singer rather than as a FW. It's a good thing I was able to recognize what it was in the picture!

$20 at a garage sale, right down the road from my house. I sold it years later for $250. I had used it about 5 times and decided to put the $$$ toward a new Bernina.

I have three, all gifted to me, one was my mom's, one was my mother-in-law's and one from a dear friend who was moving from Manhattan Miami (and she never used it).

I have 4 Featherweights ~ Ebony 1936 (a black one) @ $75.00 because her bobbin case was missing, Licorice 1941 (another black one) @ $125 at a local Antique Shop with all the attachments including the owners manual, Grasshopper 1961 (a white one that has a slight green tinge to her) $225.oo from ebay, and Angel 1959 (a white one) $178.00 from ebay. And now I have one for each of my granddaughters.

I went to look at a 15, and the guy told me he had just found another of his mom's machines in the garage. I took a look, got very excited when I saw the FW, so took both machines for $125. I later sold the 15 for $50, so I guess the featherweight was $75.

I paid I think $450 for my 1952 and was made in Scotland it is a Singer 221 and black. I have the case all attachments and the manual and the key. Tray and the foot pedal holder on the inside top of the case. Plus it had already been professionally serviced was owned by a sewing repair man who collected them and he was selling off his collection of FW's. Mine looks like is was used a few times and put away in like new condition as is the box.

I have two. I got both off of CraigsList. Paid I paid $150 for my first and $200 for the second. Thge first has been used by myself and grand daughter. I got the second just last week and it hasn't been used by me yet.

I have two featherweights. The first one my parents gave me for my 16th birthday 55 years ago. My granddaughters love to sew on it so last month I bought another one exactly like it off eBay on a buy it now auction for $349 including shipping. Both of these machines were made on January 17, 1955. I paid that much after losing out on 22 other auctions most of which would have cost more by the time shipping was added. Now my 2 granddaughters can sew at the same time. I love my featherweights and have named them Fannie and Feebie.

Bought my first one for $60 (he was selling for $30, but I felt guilty), and the second, which looks a little rough for $35..I was thinking I might need a motor for my first, and thought I could keep it for a parts machine...but now that I hve it, I have been hesitant to do that and may just get it to the shop to get it fixed.
