Rodney, you have hit the jackpot. I had a chance for a Ruby but it was priced too high for me at the time. That's my Grandma's name. My Mom & Dad were born in 1932. So those are good years. My 66 is my brother's birth year, so maybe I should call it Dave. This is a fun thread!

I found a shop where the guy services older sewing machines, I spent over an hour in the shop learning about older sewing machines. Don't think I am crazy but I do have 4 or maybe 5 machines ............so far.

You guys are a blast. I think it would be nice to have a machine from my birth year, too! I am not too picky about the day, because I think that would be too difficult.

you can check the various singer listings here to see if they ordered production on a set on your BDay.
(unless you were born prior to 1900 you can ignore the No Letter Prefix set)

You're not weird. lol I have a singer made in 1963 and i was like ooh. that's the year Kennedy was shot. I would love a pink atlas so i can put it in a treadle. LOL yep grandma had a pink atlas in a treadle so thus... *wink* 1979 wasn't a great year in sewing machines. So no birth year machine for me. lol
