sorry for the triple post, but i just realized i had a shot of my new national that had the open tool kit.

here it is close up with an arrow to the special foot. I had a spare one, but I gave it the Cathy(Mizkaki) a while ago.

the interesting thing about this set is the adaptor clamps high up the needle bar to the wider part (it's stepped at the lower end) so the diameter of the opening is much larger than the style that fits on lower down on the bar. I've not tired to see if this would work on another machine - and it might because of it's adjustable nature.

This particular style shows up on ebay rather often, but about half the time that adaptor foot is missing . . .

Thanks! that helps! I don't see how it's little pin is situated, to hold the feet on, but I'll take it that it must work.

This should help. Notice both the hole at the back and the notch in the front toe (BTW- the adapter is leaning against a screw - it wouldn't stay upright on it's own)

The pin in the attachment goes into the hole on the adapter foot

and then pivots forward until the notch slips into the notch on the adapter foot.

Most sets - the adapter is the same as the slip on feet that go with the set, but not with this - here is the adapter with the ruffler

If you have a top clamp adapter - remove it.

New Home has a "stepped" presser bar. Most slip on attachments only go on the lower narrow portion.

However this adapter goes up farther onto the wider part.
