Default Brother Hand crank - questions

I paid way outside my budget for this beautiful Brother hand crank, a 15 clone (HA-1). And I said I would never buy on ShopGoodwill again too! But it satisfies two gotta have on my shrinking list, hand crank and green!
I'm not sure this qualifies as vintage since the label says 1983. But my questions are whether it was made in China, Taiwan, or Korea? Labels say Pusan, and have symbols that I can't distinguish whether chinese or korean.

And what is this attachment for?

Pusan is a town in Korea. I have been there at the Army base there.

Oh wow, finally I get to see another one. Mine is just a little older and just a little different. Mine says Busan Precision IND LTD, model B200. My stitch length lever and lock are just a little bit different than yours and my crank handle is black plastic instead of wood. My stuck on label is on the inside of the arm. Seeing yours made me take a closer look and mine is dated 2-10-1976. I know that Brother had a factory in Korea in the 80s but don't know exactly how far back it goes. And yes I paid way too much for mine too, how could we not? It does sew a good stitch, my 6yr old GD sewed herself a skirt with mine.

It is a sharp looker. Love the matching color of the HC. Didn't know these were made. Thanks for sharing.

No it's a 15 class machine so not a drop in bobbin.
