I had a White Dressmaker that was very similar to the Brother machines made around the same time. (1970). You might be able to check on the White manufacturing company and come up with some info.

No, not yet. I will get a picture posted and let you see it. It is very pretty. It's like a chocolate pudding color, yum! lol. It is a very pretty brown color like milk chocolate. I'll have to get my daughter to stop by and take a pic of it for me so it might take a few days.

I would have loved cheese! My MIL gave me one of those old fashioned red rubber hotwater bottle/douche bag combination thingys and told me to keep it hanging on the back of the bathroom door!! You young girls will have no idea what I'm talking about. Originally Posted by raptureready

Oh, I take that back, one year for Christmas she bought me two rounds of cheese--a longhorn and a swiss. The 1st hubby said, "She doesn't like cheese." to which MIL said, "Well, you do, dear, so it won't go to waste." I never figured out why she didn't just put his name on it in the first place. My second MIL had nothing to give anyone but she was nice and that was more than enough.

Never could figure out what she was trying to say? LOL

If the tensioner is on the front face plate of your machine, I think you probably have a Japanese clone of a Singer Model 15....You are LUCKY!! They were actually made better than the Singer model 15, and a lot of people think that is one of the best machines Singer ever made.
You can drop the feed dogs by a little mechanism under the front of the machine so you can free motion quilting on this machine. Get yourself a Singer 15 manual (for free) off the internet, and it will also be accurate for the one you have.
