Joe, yes, letters do good. I would write them and send a picture along. You never know, they may look at their quality control and maybe send you a spool of thread. But I would write just to let them know about their product, that usually makes me feel good to speak my beans. What can it hurt!

I wonder sometimes if letters to the manufacturer do any good.

Joe, you are hilarious. I needed a good laugh, thanks.

I had a knot like that a couple weeks ago on a spool of gutterman. I was quilting on my frame, going a million miles an hour. I just happened to stop and see it. It would have been ugly if I hadn't chanced to see it.
No I didn't contact the company, didn't think of it until later when the evidence was gone.

I can just imagine the mess a knot like that would cause if it got to the needle with the machine at wide open throttle. Ewww yuck!

We on this board got Wal Mart to start carrying fabric again, after we talked about how we hated a couple of AT&t Tv. commercial's they were off the air the next day. Maybe if we all sent emails to the thread company's at the same time we could get them to wake up as to how much business they are loosing and start making a better product.

    crafty pat,

I took some additional pics of the spool of thread, clearly showing the lot # and other info as well as the Bernina and the Singer Quantum Lock 5 head serger sitting besides it. All with the same thread on the pins.
I've got to compose a letter and make the pics email size before I send the letter to C&C.
