I have a singer 15-99. Yesterday the foot pedal started to give me problems. The part that I press to run the machine stays down all of the time and I cannot get it to come back up and stop the machine. Does anybody have an idea of how I can fix this problem?

You should be able to unscrew the bottom of the foot control to open it up and see what the problem is. Make sure the machine is unplugged.

I've had a couple of those that were sticky too. I took them apart, cleaned them, the put some grease on the parts the button rides on and that cured the problem.

Had a couple that squeaked too. Same cure.
