On this simpler NH stitch lever you can see the R for the bottom half. F is for the top half.

Thanks Leon. I’m going to see if I swapped the motor leads to the brushes. The drive knob is going clockwise, making the hand wheel go counter clockwise. I thought that was how all machine were, but apparently Free Westinghouse and White machines spin the other way. Learn something new all the time

I am still thinking you issue is in the stitchlength area/ Have you checked further?

I took the motor apart swapped the wires to the brass tubes that hold the brushes. It works now. Hand wheel runs clockwise, not like my other machines. Thanks!
