Free Westinghouse motor question

Thanks Leon. I’m going to see if I swapped the motor leads to the brushes. The drive knob is going clockwise, making the hand wheel go counter clockwise. I thought that was how all machine were, but apparently Free Westinghouse and White machines spin the other way. Learn something new all the time

Motor spring
when the spring is engaged in the motor and it is properly attached to the back of the machine hold it down against the spring tension and reinstall your pulley so it touches your hand wheel. The spring keeps it engaged against the wheel with enough tension to make the pulley spin and turn your wheel. Hope this helps you.
