I thought the New Family was a 12.

    "Mid century modern nightstand"
    http://kansascity.craigslist.org/fuo/4387181575.html

Seems like a sewing cabinet would be a little tall to be used as a night stand.

Why not just sell them as sewing cabinets? Why are people afraid of listing them as such?

This appeared on a search because of a sewing machine listed under other items for sale:

    https://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/for/4373869313.html

"found in an abandoned storage unit."

Seriously? You just don't know where that's been...

As much as I like antique, vintage, and even used items some things are better bought new.

Is the New Family machine really a Singer or and old company cashing in on Singer's name at the time? I remember Singer's New Family being shorter with a large balance wheel.

Wonder why it is a 'must see' - I was thinking they could get a patent on UGLY.
