How far will you drive?

Well, I don't have 'that bug' like some women do for sewing machines. However, I've driven 4 hours (one way), with a friend to go to Field Stone House, just for fabric. It was a field trip that we both wanted to go on together. So therapeutic to catch up with a good friend.

It's not only how for you will drive, but how comfy you want to get to fit them in.
We already had the car packed tight - including 9 machines when I found three more. At least we were only 4 hours from home at that point.
The Davis and MN rode on the floor in front of the passenger seat.
And the Singer sat on the arm rest between us.
So I came home with an even dozen - if we had taken the truck I'd have come home with at least two more treadle machines.

Awesome!! May not be a distance record but comes close to a volume record!!!
I'm going to have to look around the southern Washington area before I head up there just to be sure i don't miss another deal!

I used to live near Portland, Or but don't get down that way much any more or I would be happy to give you some ideas where to look Steve.
I'll be driving to Tacoma an hour away later this week to pick up a White 77MG and a late model Singer 99 that I won from Goodwill's auction site. I also like old woodworking machines. For stuff like this it all depends on the cost of the machine and the gas used to get it. If I'm ok with it, I go.

P*A*R*T*S????????? If nothing else, it has a good barely used throat plate and slide plate. It has attachments. It has a cord. It was in a CASE!!! It has a good motor. Sometimes those T&S machines are really nice and work right away!!! Some times they go out to the wood shed...
