How to touch up bare metal spots
We have been restoring my MIL's old treadle machine. We didn't use the right products so some of the decals have turned to silver. There are a few small places where the paint has come off and we are down to the bare metal. I really don't want to repaint but I was just wondering what is the best way to cover these bare places to keep them from rusting and also blend in with the original paint. I will post pictures when we are completely finished with this project.

The model pens they are talking about is either Testors or Model Masters paint pens. Billy suggested using them as the black is the same "shade and gloss" of the Singer/ Antique machines.
When you use it, put it on in layers. Let it dry between coats and it will fill the chips as you increase the layers.
