I guess you got me over my head now I knew I should have kept my mouth shut. Come on down but we need to wait for warm weather.

Maybe by summer we can get the car out of the driveway - right now there is too much snow to go anywhere.

I am very happy. I polished on some shellac - other than it isn't very deep and there are the bare places - it looks really pretty good and could sew now. I can go back over it with more shellac some time or wait and do what you suggested - sand and stain and re-shellac. Right now it has sort of an Amish buggy look to it.

I got the last tight screw undone - the bobbin tension was stuck - I gave it some oil and time out, came back and it turned! The bobbin area was really dirty so it figures the tension was, too. I'm real glad I took it apart and cleaned it. Then I got the upper tension reset and away she sews. WOW She sews freely and doesn't look so terrible. I like the harp space on that machine. It has a very nice even long stitch length. It takes regular short shank attachments. I'm thinking I will put a hand crank on it. The girls will be over during spring break and they will love this one. It can always go on a treadle or get new wires. It can make a trip to Glenn's and get the finish smoother. But for now she sews.
