How do you drop your feed dogs on a 301? I was just given one from my Aunt. Love the machine but don't have a manual.

Lift the extension and in the back section of the vertical panel the bobbin is in, there is a knob to turn. If it's difficult, soak it in SM oil. You'll love this machine. You can post any questions in the 301 thread. ISMACS and Jenny at sew-classic have a free manual to download. You may want it when you have to remove the needleplate for cleaning. There's a nice pic of putting it back together correctly.

Just one? How could I possibly be without all my gals? Oh, I'd have to have an intervention to be able to get through that.
My Singer 15-91 would be a good choice for most things except when I want to go to a retreat or workshop. She is rather heavy .Actually, my new RedEye treadle would be a good choice, but there again, I can't take her anywhere--easily.
Oh, decisions, decisions. Don't think I can do that. My DH is peering around my shoulder and would wonder why then I have all the others!!
