Default Foot pedal

I kept trying to make the large black part of the foot pedal to move, then while looking at the pictures I just posted I noticed the rubber feet on the black tri-pod bottom - which would have the long black part (which I thought was the business end of the foot pedal) sitting sideways and the raw steel part at the top.

Sure enough ... that's how it sits and when I press down on the raw steel part ... up and down she goes.

I think this is one machine I won't be sewing barefoot in.
Is there a possibility this foot pedal could be used for a knee pedal?

I will ... I want to clean it a little better first. I only gave it a once over with a dry cloth. She really doesn't need much though.

And another one joins the herd!
How many are in the stable now?

Hurrah for your DH for recognizing the importance of keeping "Illinois" in the State!
(and of course, for knowing how to keep his LilWoman happy-happy!!)

Ummm ... not many really (compared to some here) ..... only 7 vintage.

Hubby is just as interested in my herd although his interest is more in the cabinets. We both prefer treadles to anything.

Well then, you'll just have to do something about that number count!!
Ever so important to have him on your side, to nurture the herd along, particularly those that need special care and attention!!!! .................. and to welcome every addition, and to surprise you with them too!
