Lightbulb This should be the last one!i

Alright, famous last words, but really, this should be it.

This morning I scored a 1950 201-2 with the blue Centennial badge in a 4-drawer cabinet. The machine is quite clean and the cabinet just shows the usual wear & tear of 70 years. I think just a wipe-down and to feed the wood and it will be fine. Ho boy, these machines are smooth & quiet, what a sweet sound they make.

No really, this one should be the last one:-) I really do not have the room anymore. All of my machines are in cabinets and that takes up space. You all need to know that my loft is filled with weaving equipment, I am plain ole running out of room.

Great score! Now you know what it is about a 201-2 that made even me fall in love with it. If I could only keep one Singer machine this would be it.

Wow, lucky you!! I am so green The 201-2 is the machine of my dreams. Even the shape is so sleek and beautiful, let alone the performance.

Theresa, I love my 201-2! Mine is also a Centennial! It has saved my sanity because of its quilting ability! And, it has a pretty large harp space -- I think I measured it at about 11"+!

No, Jeanette, just to avoid others being confused, the arm space of a 201-2 is 7 1/2 inches.

The 201-2 is a really nice machine. It purrs. It's so quiet and smooth that those who have not used one will be amazed. The 15-91 has it's attributes, but it does not purr.
