My first Featherweight- but what is it?

Thanks for the reply. I had heard only of two places to locate the serial number: bottom plate, which is obvious, and under the arm. I have still not been able to discover where that is, and if anyone knows I hope they will tell me. I will have to do some research and find out the third location.

The very early 33's only had the serial inside the bottom area and did not even have a boss for the serial on the bottom outside area. The drip pan had to be removed to see the serial.

I think we have reached a point where we will not discover the answer to this. I am not willing to take it apart and the drip pan yields no number so I think we will just approximate the age as circa 1948. It seems to be a good running little machine and I think we will enjoy many years of sewing. Thanks to all who responded, I have learned quite a bit about the Featherweight.
