Where does the motor need this grease? It looks sealed to me but I'll ask DH.

As I recall, if the motor has two small holes, those would be where the lubricant goes. Singer lubricant is sold where sewing machine oil is sold; comes in a small tube.

Oiling the moving parts is necessary much more frequently than lubricating the motor.

The later FW have sealed motors. My white color FW motor is sealed. It's easy to tell if there is a lube port or not.

Thanks for the info. Going to the store tomorrow for the grease if necessary.

I can't tell you how excited I am about this machine. I feel like I just stepped on a diamond on the beach. Like I found a treasure in my own attic.

My DH says, "yeah, it's a neat little machine that my mother gave me". Like it's NOTHING!!!

Ha ha ha ............... little does he know. He is mystified as to my excitement.

Can you imagine? This thing has been moved to 3 different houses and I never had a clue what it was.

Man, I wish I could find one in my attic!
Have fun with it. Maybe you should see what else is in the attic. Never know what might be lurking.
