Thanks, It has gotten it first bath in SM oil and a liberal baptism with Tri-Flow
I realized yesterday I forgot to mention that it moves amazingly smooth and tight(very little wiggle). The design is SO similar to the Howe that I am going to see if the Howe shuttle will fit as a substitute.
I have to do a LOT of metal cleaning before I try to actually sew. I do not want to damage the movements with running rough stuff through them.

THIS is going to be fun to clean...

I love the openwork design.

Note - I did nothing to that machine. I think the place I got it from used something like WD40 or something to get it moving though. It is a beautiful piece. It is not in my skill level yet. I'm very glad to see it go to a good home.

Great work on packing that treadle Miriam. I say this as I sadly look over at yet another broken case that arrived yesterday from someone with less knowledge about packing a sewing machine.

It's not the seller's fault it got lost but can you stop payment to the seller to get them to respond? Meanwhile one of your neighbors probably has it and isn't talking though I do hope your neighbors aren't that type.

We live in urban Indianapolis Ups probably figures somebody thought it was cool meds or something and ripped it off the porch. I doubt that though. Our house sets back from the street and we have never had a problem - a lot of neighbors have dogs so we don't get much foot traffic here. I think UPS just can find his way around in a paper bag. He probably threw it in somebodies yard a block away.
