Default need some info:New Home 1917 treadle

well, tried winding bobbin for New Home 17: bobbin winder only goes half of the way needed to wind the long bobbin.
How do i fix problem?

Can you get us a closeup of the bobbin winder and post of the machine? I went back and looked at the pics of the machine, and can't tell for sure, but it looks like the "gears" of the bobbin winder are set too close to the belt wheel... can you see an adjustment screw that would allow you to scoot them over?

i can do, i'll do it later today. i'm trying to rescue the living room from my re-arranging to make room for the sewing machine cabinet. right now the cabinet is closed.
