Brenda, the number for the metal bobbin that fits the Singer 319 machine is #55623S, which also fits Singer 206, 306, 115, and 20U33.

The machines are designed around the needles. So any modifications may effect your feed dogs, needle clearance, height adjustment. Some of the timing is set at the factory on some machines. The nicotine stain is old oil becoming a varnish. There is an oil called triflo that will clean that off.

I bought needles and bobbins for my Singer 306 from Cindy Peters. I later discovered that the bobbins are also what the Singer 115 uses.

I know you meant 'affect', but I don't understand how "any modifications may effect your feed dogs, needle clearance, height adjustment" relates to modifying the bobbin case. Can you please explain it?
