Awesome and I am sure it will be well loved and used often. I learned to sew on a treadle - but it was a family heirloom and my daughter has it - so I am looking for my own. Good find have fun using it.

I also found a really nice singer 66 treadle in MA, but I decided to get this one instead...if any one is interested I will get you the info. She wants 120.00 but you maybe able to talk her down. Its in really nice shape...a beauty...it was a 2 hour drive for me which I was going to take next week to check out...but then I found this one in the next town over from me.

So beautiful! The Twiggy cabinet looks perfect. For sewing or just display?

Congratulations, you found a beautiful machine. Those are the best decals I have seen of those flowers on the bed.

Tht machine is really great looking! Good catch. But remember....NO 3 In 1 Oil in any sewing machine!! No matter what that article said...don't do it!!! You'll be more than sorry after a while...it gums up.

I have one exactly like it! I bought it several years ago for $100.00 and the lady that owned it still sewed on it, so it is in working condition. I hope you have as much fun with her as I am with mine.

What type of needles do you buy? Can you use regular sewing machine needles that you would use on an electric sewing machine?

Mine came with several, but I did try to put a regular needle in and it is too short. I just lowered it just a little and that worked. I can't say that is the right thing to do, but it worked. The drawers are stuffed full of notions. The lady I bought it from had to go to a nursing home and the machine is still as she left it. I haven't sewed anything in particular, just played. I have about 5 bobbins that are in the drawer and that took some time figuring it out. She filled the bobbins on top of old thread. There are about 4 different colors of thread on each bobbin. Just talking about it makes me want to get it out and play again.

You should be proud, she's gorgeous. I just love the vintage ladies.

I did not end up getting it....so bummed it was missing two major pieces. The shuttle and the bobbins and the belt was broken. I will research the price on them but I think I can find a better deal with all of the pieces.
