this machine is in an original case as far as we can tell and it has the wording on it as such:
IKEHARA UTILITY COMPANY w/ a phone number.
we are thinking that it was used at this plant possibly?

from the brightness of the decals, you might consider that
this is not a vintage machine but a recent reproduction.
as such, the serial # will not show up on the Singer lists.
the model is 15. probably the vintage Singer 15 manuals will work as they did a good job of copying.
the Sphnix decals are beautiful !

you know, I did not look as closely as I should have. I see the Singer emblem along with the name. I am not sure if the reproductions had the actual Singer name on them. going to
see if I can find any other info for you.

we found the serial number , it's under the 15U's.,, it is either a TC or TG and it starts at 1956. AND the word SINGER is in the casting and on all the parts underneath...also.. this machine has the prettiest stitches of all my older singers.. and...lol ....this one goes so fast there is no way you can run it wide open.. my dh has now claimed it and said i couldn't handle it !! can you imagine,,lmbo !!! newbies..sheesh ,,,they think they know it all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are getting info in Japanese, there are translation sites available on the internet. Maybe one of them would help you. Or maybe we have a member or two that can read Japanese.
