New Willard Sewing Machine
#22
Probably because one site that pops up is one of those "what is my antique worth" garbage sites. And some totally uniformed fool said it was worth $500 or something like that.
Most "antique appraisers" don't have a clue about sewing machines, and get the dates way wrong because of the patent dates, and also think that because they "name" is uncommon, it must be worth more.

I have a Willard A treadle machine in a parlor cabinet with a bullet bobbin similar to the Singer model 27. I can't quite figure out how to thread the tension spring after the thread goes through the tension wheels. Can anyone familiar with the Willard machines give me any advice?
