I'm not sewing anything on it until at least the weekend so I have a better idea of size. The generosity of the people here is nothing short of amazing to me.
I may have touched on this before. I'm receiving cash donations to help with supplies, shipping, etc, along with the blocks. I'm not sure of proper etiquette so I've taken the path of safety and privacy. I haven't been naming names or saying how much or if any cash has been received. Many people prefer to give quietly and I'm trying my best to respect that. If I don't mention money please don't take offense. I do want people to know that the donations are all very much appreciated and all of it will go to either the quilt or Caleb and Ashlea who I am sure will be able to put it to good use. Thank you very much to everyone for their contributions and support on this project. Rodney |

Rodney, extra blocks could be used to make a hanging bag for the walker, its always needed.

Very nice Steve! Psychonurse, not a bad thought, I'm not sure Ashlea's going to be using a walker for long though. I hope not.

Three envelopes got sent off yesterday. (each has a square.). My 2 Dobermans wanted to send one too. I want to let you know who Emily and Axel are so if you have too much you can not use theirs rather than leave a human out. We just won't tell them. ;)
When I wrote to Ashlea, I told her about them, so now they feel invested. I was in too much of a hurry to mail them off, so did not get pictures. |

Rodney,
Ours are going out today. Sorry I'm so tardy .... ( remember that word boys and girls ... ;) ) The 9 patches were made with our 1951 vintage 201-2 cabinet machine: http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...d=493798&stc=1 http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...d=493799&stc=1 The Whacky Bag was assembled on our late 1960s Singer 237M cabinet machine: http://www.quiltingboard.com/attachm...d=493800&stc=1 These weren't made on machines as old as SteveH's and some of the others, but they're vintage none-the-less. Caleb said he got their things moved to the new walk out apartment today. It won't be long until Ashlea goes home. I don't think she is still using a walker. She has a bit more recovery.
