I have a Viking Sapphire and Babylock Evolution (are we counting sergers?) I also have the Kenmore I got 40 years ago but I don't use it. May take it to our cabin. Don't have room for anymore, where do you put all these? I admit I would love to have an old Singer like the one my mom taught me to sew on, but don't know if I would use it and, again, where to put it.

I have a Brother I got about 12 yrs ago.............He`s the baby, then The first thing I got with my first pay check out of high school was a Phaff in 1957, it`s middle aged. My MIL gave me her mothers machine,MIL passed on 38yrs ago. so she would have 117 now, and it was her mothers, (sure want to know how old it is) the machine is a HOUSEHOLD, some thing never seen here and my DD passed on 38 yrs ago too, and I got his mother`s machine, a Model A Minnesota.Dad would have been 101 this year, (sure would like to know how old it is! I never heard of a Minnesota either.

As many as you enjoy having, whether for display or using. As long as you can afford them - knock yourself out LOL.
I have 2 Janomes, a embroidery machine and a 1949 Singer. I'm happy.

I only have 3. But I want an embroidery one that does more than just monograming and simple pictures. Think Christmas!LOL!

I see alot of you with many old machines! I have 2 and one for the g-kids when they want to sew! I don't need anymore and how do you sew on so many??? LOL

emmm. I am not sure I have 2 featherweights, 2 modern Janomes, and a bernina. So that is only 5 - that does not include those that are in my mums garage or in the loft - not sure how many there are in either of these. Lets stick with a total of 5!

I only have one sewing machine and one serger. I don't need any others.

I have 2 machines, a Janome 6600P and a Janome 750 for classes. I do look at them on Craig's List and at garage sales. But have no room for another machine unless it's at the bottom of the closet.

I have 6, a Bernina 830 and a 350, 1 featherweight, 1 Janome serger, 2 lower end Janomes. I'm thinking that I will check with my quilt shop to see if there is anyone that can't afford a machine and would like one of the Janomes(I just plan on giving them away). I haven't sewn with either one for along time and have decided that they are just taking up room.

I don't "need" all the machines I have. Here's the list...however, I'm not parting with any of them. I figure they're a collection, like my mom's Royal Doultons, thimble, or coins...whatever.
1945 Singer 221 Featherweight
1955 Singer 222K Featherweight
1957 Singer 222K Featherweight
1951 Singer 301-black longbed in case
1916 Singer 115 treadle head
1920 something Singer 115 treadle in Singer parlor cabinet
1916 White VS II treadle in twiggy cabinet
Janome 11000
Janome 3160 QDC
Janome MB4 embroidery machine
Janome 1600p on Grace Pinnacle Frame
and I have a Babylock Serger too.
They all work. They all have a purpose. And I want one more...a Singer 401. Then I think I'm done.
However Janome is coming out with a new TOL machine in September. I told DH that I would have to really think hard about getting it though, as my 11000 is wonderful and I haven't really used all it's capabilities. I may just stick with what I have for a while and watch and see how the new machine pans out....and Janome has a habit of making better deals after the initial release of a new machine. Also, I may just not get another embroidery/sewing machine to replace the 11000 and look at the Janome Horizon instead. Or, I may just stick with the old girls. They sew better anyway.....who knows. It's a hobby. I work hard and I want to spend my money before the kids get it!<G>
