Sorta.... The Patchers (politype, claes, etc) might be more able to claim the first free arm. But this is definitely the earliest convertible I know of. It may be the first domestic free arm.
It is a Ward's "Arm and Platform". Yep, lots were made. Few survive. I have seen at least three on the big auction site in the last few years. Someday. |
