Nancy, I like that idea of a dresser scarves to sit under the machines that go on the shelf. I will have to make a couple for my machines that aren't in a box.

Nancy, How do you get your foot that hight to the shelf? I can't. I can only get my foot about 4 feet off the floor. lol

I use orphan blocks to make a zippered foot control bag for my FW when I need to take one with me in the Tutto bag. I have made a couple of crumb quilts and don't know when I'll have enough blocks for another one.

Purplefiend - I love your machine covers. It has made me rethink what to do for mine. I made one a while ago, with dowelling to make it stand up like a tent. It's a bit of a joke. Next time I'll use your approach, which is more like a giant sized tea cosy.

The Mondo Bag! Stitched on my 401A.
Made with the gridded fusible interfacing. You fuse 2 1/2" squares (I used batiks) to the grid and then sew the seams to make panels for the outside of the bag. This is a huge monster bag perfect for hauling quilts to club for show & tell.
Carly seems bored with the finished project...

What a great bag Cindy...stylish, big and useful....all things I think a bag should be. Never was a clutch/small bag girl...all my bags are "life support systems", everything but the kitchen sink:)

Cindy, I love the colors in your bag! Those are beautiful batiks! Is Carly the black cat? What is the fuzzy thing in front of the cat? A feret? I want to do smaller projects this year like totes, cozies! I am tired of doing very large quilts! Great job, great looking bag!

Cindy, I love your Mondo bag! I had to google Mondo bag, never heard of one. I found a helpful you-tube video that shows the process that you describe. I have that added to my to do list. I'll look for the fusible grid interfacing that is used for this project. Thanks for sharing!

Nancy, yes Carly is one of our cats. The fuzzy thing is a raccoon tail that our youngest DD got at Sauder Village, a pioneer museum in NW Ohio a few years back. The cats like to carry it around the house.
My cutting table is my old dropleaf dining room table. It's just the right height for rotary cutting (for me, anyway). I usually keep one leaf up and one down (as in the photo). When I'm basting a large quilt, I open it up all the way and rotate it diagonally so that it fits in the room better.
