That's cute and great idea.

Sharon, I would love a 201 treadle! Or hand crank. Those usually turn so smooth...

Miriam,
Here is my 201. My very first people powered machine, it started my love of treadles. Since it has no motor, its nearly silent when I've properly oiled it, just the swish noise of the belt.
My step-grandkids were sewing the day the photo was taken, they liked the hand crank for sewing.

I have an old worn out looking Singer 99 that has a hand crank, it, too is nearly silent. My grand daughter and husband grab that for anything they want to sew. I like it for button holes.

string blocks

This is what I've been working using my 1955 Pfaff 60 treadle, 7.5" string blocks using mail order catalog pages. It's one of my favorite treadles;it "lives" in the family room. This picture is sideways, it wasn't that way when I shot the picture.
Here's a picture of some of the finished blocks. My son's GF took one look at my blocks and nearly panicked, she has OCD. She said there's no matching colors, too many colors in the block. I guess she won't be making any scrap quilts. :)

I've got one like that, purplefiend!
Can't get the picture to upload on my iPad. I'll try it on the computer later.

Thank you, Margaret.

I suppose I posted my pictures of the Red and White Log Cabin I made in the wrong section or thread. It was pieced and assembled entirely using my 201-2. I posted it on the Pictures thread, but since I posted that, I've added a 4" border of very deep cherry red and a 2" white border. I love how it turned out! So, here it is with the borders.

Here's the finished top, the blocks are sew with the Pfaff 60 and the rows sewn together with my 1917 White Rotary treadle.
