I also like to use the Plain Spoken pattern by Bill Kerr and Weeks Ringle found in their book The Modern Quilt Workshop.
You can either free motion quilt (I like to use my Singer 15-90 in treadle for this) or straight-stitch quilt (which is quick and simple on even Singer 66-1). I'm presently working on a Plain Spoken that is quilted just using the straight-stitch. I'll post photos of the finished quilt.

The " I Spy Quilt" that I made for my dad was pieced and quilted using my Singer 201K.

I am currently piecing 2 quilts of valor with my black Singer 301. She's sewing wonderfully since she's had her top tension reset.

My Singer 201K is from 1953. I'm so surprised as to how smooth and quiet this machine sews. Not even my daughter's Janome sews this way.

I recently found a Singer 401A. I plan to make a baby quilt using the 401A and my FW. I'm planning to do some piecing with the FW and then the quilting and binding work with the 401A. I always finish off my bindings with some type of decorative stitch since I attach the bindings by machine. A great way to hide the unevenness of the finished machine binding work (at least for me it is. since I can never get it to be perfect on both sides). Anyhow, I'm looking forward to playing with the decorative stitches on the 401. That machine runs very nicely too!
