if you decide to sell, i would be interested in the 301, if its not too much
|
Have you thought about listing them on Craigslist?

My first electric machine was a 301A. I sewed a million miles on that one. I used it in Japan and in England, and made all our clothes. I bought it in 1958 and gave it to DD in 1980. It's still going strong. I use it when I'm visiting her. You can't go wrong with that one.

Debbie, if you really want to sell them, I would try craigs list. That way, the customer could come pick it up!
|
Debbie, I also would be interested in the 301 if and when you decide to sell!!! I would take fantastic care of her, better than my DH, just ask him!!!!

I have that Singer 401A machine and really love it. Used it over 40 years until I retired and purchased my Bernina. I did get my Singer out recently to make some heavy drapes and it still really runs well. I guess I am too emotionally attached to it and I could not sell it. I do remember when I bought it I thought I was spending way too much for the machine which cost me around $300 at the time.

Thanks all so much.
If you don't want them lost in the shuffle after your gone, think about putting a note on each machine telling about their history, monetary value of today, and maybe where you'd like them to go to. Perhaps in the near future you'll want to use them (and it'll be heartbreaking if you don't have them) or maybe you'll find someone now who you'd like to see receive them. |
Debbie you are way too young to sell it already. You have atleast 40 more yrs before you have to find a home for it.
