It must have been. But seriously, that is a badged Anker C-Z. Aka Free Westinghouse. Fantastic machine and looks to be in great shape too. Charlee just got one of them and was asking about it. http://www.quiltingboard.com/vintage...ml#post6069146

I think this thread has given it some good PR ... despite the fact that it can't type. When I first saw the thread earlier today it was $5.00 ... now at $23.00.

Marguerite is the correct spelling, it was my Mother's name. The Marguerite irons are pretty, I wonder what they look like whole.

Now I see why we can't find any treadle bases... ARGH!!! I agree totally..
We have at least three heads that need homes and the bases are all but nonexistent and Bloomington is not that far from us...
For a while there was a guy advertising on CL and Freecycle wanting old sewing machines for "art projects" Joe and I both were curious as to what he would be making out of them. Wonder if it is the same guy.
