It would only be worth that if it was made out of solid gold.

So...last night at Goodwill, a 206 in a #42 cabinet with the bench calls out to me. I was supposed to leave it there to languish? My heart wouldn't let me do it, so it came home with me. This one MIGHT, if I can't talk the spousal unit into doing it for me, be my first attempt at rewiring a machine. Pretty easy looking job, and I might not even ask him to help...especially since he's not thrilled that I bought it to begin with!
Not entirely pleased with the needle thing on it.. 206x13 needles look to be a bit spendy...might dump the machine for that reason alone and keep the cabinet which is in really good shape for my 201!

Those 206 machines are nice - buy 100 needles at a time and it's not so bad.

I'm going to give it a fair chance Miriam... :) I think I wanted the cabinet and bench more than I wanted the machine, but the machine isn't bad.

What's worth more than I paid for the machine/cabinet tho, was one of the attachments I found in the drawer! It's the "embroidery foot" designed for Featherweights....

Charlee, what a score! The #42 cabinet is one of my favorite cabinets. It is a BIG bonus to get the matching stool! And, I've never heard of an embroidery foot for the featherweight! Congratulations!

It's funny...I never really liked the #42 cabs until I saw this one. They just seemed too....."modern" for me! Once I saw it in person tho, I fell in love with it!

I will most likely end up putting the embroidery attachment on ebay...haven't quite decided yet, and know it won't bring the price listed on that site, because that site seems to me to be a "bit spendy"... but I don't know that I'd ever actually use it!

His Diamond Point EBay address is on or near a very wealthy section of real estate- Million Dollar Beach, Lake George, NY in the Adirondack Mountains. Needs to pay the taxes somehow!

I misread that firstly and thought $50 wasn't bad for a machine that does buttonholes!
