Help Friends,

Just picked up 2 (TWO!) featherweights, both dirty and not sewing, for less than one costs on our favorite auction site. I am on the hunt for a replacement belt for the white one...yes one is white, is it the same size/part as the regular black one, or are there different belts for white featherweights? My search seems to favor the same belt for both machines? Thanks! Jane - Will get some photos up soon!

If there is a "source" for the white belts I would also like the info. I had to put a black belt on mine after my white one broke.

Happy Birthday, Miz Johnny!

I love reading about everyone's machines! And it is catching. I have to move furniture so I can bring my two "new" treadles inside. I don't know where to go with all my good stuff!

I dont know about a source for the white belts but I think I heard they do have them, but where I dont know.......

The belts are the same for both models I believe but there is some adjustment in the belt so if it is a little off its okay. The only thing I have against the White FW's are the motors. They are weaker than the black ones for some reason. I know that they were the base model machines when they were sold so that might be part of it and the cases of them are made from bakelite if I remember right.

But it sounds like you did very well and congratulations on the new editions to the family!!!

Looks like a Montgomery Ward machine to me.
