They both surprised me, and each other with these prizes. Also I put the 404 that my mother paid me for doing a plumbing job. All of these machines sew great.

Oh GOSH, the pinkness!! I'm so envious of the Atlas! Both are great but the Atlas is so cool-looking. I've never seen either of those before.

Lovely 404, too, btw...

The Monarch was in the original carrying case that is the same shade of pink....figured that out when I cleaned the brown yick off of it.

Make sure that it is threaded correctly. I have the NVF, so I can't help you if you have the older VF. Check your shuttle too.

Mine is a VF2. I'm gonna give it my full attention tomorrow and see how it goes.

Thank you for the link for German machines. I couldn't read most of it, hopefully they can find a way to answer my request for info. on dating my SERATA. I did enjoy the multimedia link on their site. It showed a museum display of many vintage machines. Y'all would enjoy looking at it. The link on the left says 'multimedia" it is a very nice display.

Wahoo, DH took my Davis VF open today and discovered the problem (more gunk) cleaned it again, oiled and now that old lady hums like a teenager and sews a wonderful even stitch. I'm a happy camper now. Have my 3 treadles set up in a U formation in my MM room and can use them all. I'm gonna get to piecing on them first thing next week.
