Anyone know anything about a 206K25? It looks like a domestic machine but listed on ISMACS as an Industrial. Serial Number says it is 10/1/52. It doesn't look industrial!

Your not supposed to do that, it takes the fun out of getting something good for next to nothing. Plus if they already had a bid on it they can not update the listing.

If you scroll down under the original description there is an update. No pic though.

Exactly what I was thinking & going to say!

The originals and the replacements being sold are felt.

My Featherweight has an oil pan? Never knew. How do you get to it? And what do I use to replace the fiber/cardboard?

It's probably not called an oil pan, but its on the bottom of the machine. There's a big screw there and inside there is a black paper/cardboard in the bottom. Just take it out, cut a new, and replace. I used a shoe box lid, will need to replace it I'm sure. DH says not to oil it so much and there won't be any excess oil.

I think I'd try using black felt glued to thin cardboard. Just my idea. The idea is to trap excess oil, dirt and lint, again my thinking.

$125 is a good price if it's in decent condition. Here they all seem to be listed in the $200 to $300 range. My guess is they're not selling for that, though.

Yes, that's exactly the setup I was envisioning for my 66. Quiltncowgirl and I are looking at lots of treadles in the Central CA area to find one we can "split" -- she wants a head, I want the treadle. I think we'll probably find one in the next couple of weeks. They are EXPENSIVE here!! Every one over $125, no matter the condition.
