Glenn, Very nice work of the sewing machine case. The machine turned out really pretty too! They look good together the machine must really be proud to be in a case such at that.

Billy, I'm sorry you missed the convention. I'm almost 100% certain they are taking phone bids on the auction machines. I can look back through my emails to be sure, if you would want to bid that way.

Oh dear...another little orphan with big eyes wants to come home with me. It's in so-so shape, the treadle cabinet was stripped of paint (the shop owner said) and oiled. It's a little wobbly, the works are a little gummy, there is one brace missing on one of the drawers. The handle is missing from the cover, and there isn't a key. There are no accessories.
But...it has the shuttle, it runs (gummy, but runs). It's just too darn cute. Serial F3196399, a 128k out of Clydebank, 120,000 allotted, date late 1912. Really waffling on this one! Shop asking price is $75. Dark phone pic, but you get the idea. [ATTACH=CONFIG]271785[/ATTACH] |

So that sad looking machine is in my kitchen now. $5 for the machine and a shoebox of miscellaneous parts. Some of them are attachments that I recognize, like the ruffler, others are various plates for other machines, some odd wheel cogs, and some sort of side plate that I don't recognize. Here's a photo of the old girl, serial number B146995: a 27-4, with 10,000 allotted on Jan. 2, 1904 in Elizabethport, NJ.
