That's what I've found out and I also saw on another site that along with the white/green 221Ks they also made beige ones, and that is what color I have as I don't see any 'green' in mine and it isn't that white either. Mine was made in Great Britain.

I need to put a correction here!!! My 221K is GREEN!!!! I put it up next to my Sears/Janome plastic machine and let the sunlight in and looked at it. My S/J is beige, and this FW is not white, but has a great green tint to it. I hadn't looked at it in the sunlight before. Sorry about that, :(

Congrats to your daughter, Melinda, and Charlee, I'm glad that you got your 'new' machine and like it.
Miriam, I hope your son and his family like Seattle. My son moved there twice from LA and hated it both times. Gloomy weather, and even snow the winters he was there. He had to leave his car by the side of the street one day because of the ice. Someone noticed that another person hit it and had them leave a note in the window. He later put a note on the car and told others to let him or his insurance when they hit his car. It was there a week or two before it could be moved and 5-6 people had left notes about hitting it. His insurance had to figure out which one was which in order to get the payments for the hits. There must be a lot of honest people there in Seattle!

This is just sad, I followed Billy's link (waaay back) to the Singer 160th anniversary site...it's been hacked
with a bunch of Viagra stuff.

#5. Needlebar.com There were several comments about not hearing back if membership was approved. I registered not long ago and noticed in the introductions forum there were new people every day. So today on a whim I checked to see if my registration letter had showed up in introductions like Alan says they will. Sure enough there it was, the day after I registered. But no notice in my email. So if you've been waiting for that perhaps you've been registered all along? Sign in and see if you can access any of the forums besides introductions.
If not, there are 5 or 6 questions they want answered in the registration letter so check FAQ's

Anyway, I'm enjoying seeing all the machines and hearing about the finds.

I've never gotten on Needlebar for what ever reason - I gave up on it.
4) Here is a link for the Japanese 15. Very easy to find. I don't see a lot of difference between them and a Singer 15. Individual machines may vary - link: http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...p-t164361.html I like the junky beat up Domestic clone I have... I think it is probably the last one on the thread - it turns pretty sweet.

Ha. I'm enabling Glenn. There are some machines now stashed at the shop for him. He and Pat are going to pick them up in August. I can't wait to see what he does with those machines. AND he is going to bring his quilt so I can see it.

Yesterday I had to wait for someone to come get some old windows we were getting rid of so I sat out there and cleaned up machines. I thought I was going to melt.

I have also arranged for a tour - I found another hoarder. I told him Glenn might be sorta interested in the old machines... of course I don't want to see any... nah. seen one you seen em all.... yeah sure...

Miriam, there is a similar one on shopgoodwill right now that looks better. It has the same cam opening but has the stitches shown on the machine. I can't tell if the cams are with either one.
