Besides DD doesn't like it when I put pics of the DGKs on line...

Miriam, Are you going "Jetson"?! Should we start calling you Jane? Poor Rocketeer, but if it saved other lives than I guess that is best. I don't own a Rocketeer since I'm more into the older gals and gents that can be treadled, but I do think the Rocketeers are one of the coolest looking sewing machines from the 60s.

Thanks, me too.

The frustrating part about the Howe Model C is that I can find all kinds of copies of line art, catalogs, and ad's for it but I cannot find a single photo of one anywhere.... The oracle Google has failed me.....

I've had that Singer 500 donor for a few years. Nope - I'm still Miriam. Nothing else seems to stick.

I'm sticking with no plastic wonders I guess... Black is cool. I still like the Japanese machines and the Slant-o-matics. Glenn has me going with the French polish on the black machines though. I'm having way too much fun with those old beater machines - way fun to cheer those up.

Slant-o-matic accessories

With my amazing new 401g I have a problem: None of the accessories or feet in my collection will work on this new beast. How am I going to find things like buttonholers for a 401? I did a quick Google and they all seem to be in the US (I know. Not really a problem, right? :hunf: )

Ha! I saw that. You just changed it then. Maybe I need to get a life :D

LOL
Getting the slant-o-matic attachments may require some patience or a long trip... either for you or the attachments. The attachments can be ordered from Sew-classic here but I don't know if she ships to you or not. http://shop.sew-classic.com/Slant-Shank-Feet_c10.htm she has good bobbins, too.
