Thanks Billy and Bucky. DH went with me and talked me into getting the black one too. He will be fixing it. Boy does that black case smell!!!!! LOL My mini van reaks like Feather Weight and it is not good! Hehehehe Any tips on how to get rid of the smell and the mold stuff? Also I was so surprised to see no silver side plate on the 1964 FW. It is just creme colored like the machine. The belt on the 1964 is odd in that it is ribbed/tread on the belt. Fun, fun, fun though!

Oh they look marvelous!!!!
YOu are a lucky woman to have 2 of them and especially a white one!!! Billy
Thanks Billy! I do have to share them with my hubby though. He says the black one is a man machine. ~smile~ I am not sure who was more excited about getting the machines, him or me. |

Also there does not seem to be anyway to search this particular thread. Am I doing something wrong or is the search function not that fine. I have done everything I can think of like * , % , ( ), = between, beginning or end of my search words but that doesn't help. Control F on the page may help me find something on the page that came up. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I really do enjoy this thread. Thanks for starting it.

Billy:
You made it back. How was Lola's doctors appointment? Did you finish her quilt? Did you see the picture of the 1924 Singer 3/4 28 I posted? It's my sisters. She just joined the board yesterday. Glad to see you back!!! |
If you guys get a chance look at Sacramento Craigslist and number 1904021012.
What a beautiful machine! Nancy |
Right now there is no way of searching this particular thread for a particular machine. You just have to scan the pages. Complicated I know but until we can come up with some way of finding certain machines or information we are stuck with surfing the thread!
Billy
Thank you for letting me know. I do enjoy surfing the thread. |

UGHHHH
So I went to make my first quilt on the treadle red eye that I got last week. I have sewed on it everyday pretty much but just practice things you know a piece of fabric and off I go. Well tonight it wants to start acting up. First the bobbin keeps getting stuck. Well not the bobbin but the thread. Like I can not pull the tread out. When I get it going again I sew for a little bit and then it sticks again and puckers up the fabric. Now the belt keeps slipping. It happened the first night I had the treadle and I tightened the belt as it was REALLY loose. But I looked at it and its not loose (well a little but no more then it should be). Anyone one have any suggestions? I was really looking forward to making my first quilt on the treadle. I have oiled it and wiped it down but it looks in good shape no gunk build up. It was used by an older lady till she past away so it has not been stored long. |
